The village of Bachevo is situated in the northern part of the Razlog valley, 6 km. north of the town of Razlog. It lies in the foot of the Southwest Rila mountain, at an altitude of 900 m. There are regular public transport connections with the town of Razlog. Some 2,5 km. southwest of the village of Bachevo, in the area called Banishte, there are mineral water springs. The climate is mild, but with a distinctive mountain influence. Two rives flow through the lands belonging to the village – the rivers Sedrach and Kuda. In the lands surrounding the village of Bachevo are grown mainly tobacco, potatoes, cereal plants, sheep, pigs and horses. In the area called Perevol to the northwest of the village there is a special base of the Pirin State Reserve of Razlog, where roes, deers, capricorns etc. The infrastructure of the village is quite good and the housing fund is almost entirely renewed. There are electricity and water sullies and the canalization system is already partly built. Most of the streets are asphalted. |
