A village, in which every visitor can enjoy the beauty of the unspoiled by civilization nature. A village with a rich and fascinating history and culture, telling the stories of a whole region. The village of Dobarsko is situated on an altitude of 1070 meters above sea level. The starting point of the National Park Pirin is in some of the lands belonging to the village. The village is a symbol of trees, that are hundreds of years of age, sunny mountain slopes, endless fascination from the views, overlooking the Rila, Pirin and the Rodopi mountains, green fields and paths leading to places that live in the hearts and dreams of the visitors ever after. The natural wealth, mild climate and tranquility help each and every visitor get away from the hectic and gray everyday life and get a taste of the natural beauty of the mountains. These past couple of years Dobarsko has been developing rural tourism very successfully. Another very big advantage is the close proximity of the world famous ski resort of Bansko, which lies some 20 km. north of this beautiful mountain village. All visitors to the village shall encounter the experience of spending their time surrounded by the tranquil beauty of the Rila and Pirin mountains and feel the relaxing atmosphere of the village and the rejuvenating effect of the fresh mountain air. Many of the locals offer accommodation in their own houses.
The tourists are being welcomed in the yard of the local church with folklore songs and dances, presentations of the traditional customs, performed by the so balled “Dobarsko Grannies”. At lunch you can take the chance to taste the local cuisine: meals like banica, home made yogurt, home made white cheese etc. are on display. |
